Photography studio management: from enquiry to final delivery
Photography studio management software connects the business around a shoot: the enquiry, agreed package, crew, delivery dates and invoice records. Cue helps keep that work attached to the client and project, so a booking does not disappear into separate email threads and spreadsheets.

Start with the booking, not just the shoot date
A wedding booking can involve two shooters, travel, a highlight film, an album and several delivery dates. A calendar entry alone cannot explain what was sold or who owns the next step. Record the client, event date, location, package and follow-up task before preparing the quote. Keep the sales conversation linked to the opportunity so another team member can understand the booking without asking the owner.

Make the quote a clear delivery agreement
Use quote line items for coverage hours, extra crew, editing and optional products. Generate the PDF and queue the client email from the same workflow. Before moving into delivery, check that the agreement reflects the accepted scope. A verbal promise about an extra album or faster turnaround should become a visible commitment, not a message someone has to remember.

Give production and editing separate owners
Create the project, assign the crew and record the relevant rates. Then assign editing tasks and deliverables with their own due dates. The shoot being complete does not mean the job is finished. Track the preview gallery, final edits and album as separate commitments where relevant. Cue organizes these responsibilities; it is not a replacement for your photo-editing or gallery delivery tools.

Connect milestones to invoice review
Decide when a deposit, progress invoice and final invoice should be reviewed. Track invoices alongside the project rather than maintaining a second list of jobs ready to bill. Review project value against recorded crew and delivery costs. This gives a more useful margin conversation than looking only at the booking price; it is not a guarantee that every cost is captured automatically.

Measure whether the workflow helps
Choose a small baseline: time to send a quote, overdue deliverables, hours spent chasing updates and time between a billing milestone and invoice creation. Compare similar bookings after adopting the workflow. For illustration, saving one hour a week at an internal value of $30 an hour represents about $130 a month in capacity, using 4.33 weeks. It is not necessarily cash saved or extra sales.
